Is this for me?

Who personal training in Ridgewood is for

Personal training is for you if you want someone fully in your corner — a coach who builds your plan from scratch, adjusts it as your life changes, and holds you to the standard you can’t always hold yourself to. Whether your goal is fat loss, strength, confidence, rehabbing an injury, or something you haven’t even figured out yet — this is where it gets built, step by step, with a coach who’s locked in on you.

Our Personal Training Workout

What a Personal Training class looks like…

Every session is structured to make the most of your time — no filler, no standing around.

Duration:

Sessions are 45–60 minutes. Most clients train 1–2 times per week and see strong, consistent progress. Some add group classes once they feel confident — we’ll help you find the right mix.

Check-in

A quick conversation about how you’re feeling — energy, sleep, stress, any aches. Your coach uses this to tailor the session to your day, not just your program.

Warm-up

Mobility and activation work specific to your body and the movements you’ll be doing. Not a generic jog on the rower.

Main training block

Strength, conditioning, or both — based on where you are in your program. Your coach is with you every rep, cueing form, managing load, and progressing you at the right pace.

Cool-down and next steps

Recovery work plus a quick outline of what to focus on before your next session — whether that’s movement, steps, sleep, or nutrition.

Questions?

Personal Training in Ridgewood FAQs

The questions we hear most from people standing outside the door, answered straight.

  • Is personal training right for beginners?

It’s one of the best ways to start. You get undivided attention, learn at your own pace, and build a foundation of movement and confidence before anything else. There’s no better environment to learn in.

  • What's the difference between personal training and CrossFit classes?

CrossFit classes are group sessions with a shared workout — coached and scaled, but you train alongside others. Personal training is fully individualised — your program, your pace, your coach’s full attention. Some members do one or the other, plenty do both.

  • How often should I do personal training?

Most clients start with 1–2 sessions per week and that’s enough to see real results. During your free intro we’ll recommend a frequency that fits your goals, schedule, and budget.

  • Can you work around injuries or limitations?

Yes — it’s one of the main reasons people choose personal training. We regularly work with clients managing back, knee, shoulder, and mobility issues. Your program is built around what your body needs, not in spite of it.

  • I'm not sure if I need PT or group classes — how do I decide?

That’s exactly what the free intro is for. We’ll talk through your goals and recommend the best fit. There’s no wrong answer — and you can always change direction later.
